"When I was a little girl, I would go out to Nanny's garden, pick orange marigolds and pink snapdragons, mash them and mix them with water, then bottle the mixture up and give it to her as perfume."

Splints & Daisies has been an earth-friendly and sustainable business since day one. We pride ourselves in only using the freshest flowers, locally grown when in season. We avoid chemicals, and compost our scraps.
Our designs are fresh, modern, rustic, sometimes a bit crazy, elegant, beautiful, classy, funky....... you get the point. Our work has been "recognized by Hollywood", in that we were invited to teach a group of actors.
We offer wedding and event floral design, in addition to arrangements for birthdays, anniversaries, or "just because".
With quality personal service from beginning to end..... We offer free consultations, provide you with a custom quote, and will make sure your wedding, event, party or get-together runs smoothly. Our goal is to provide you with a breathtaking floral display, no matter how large or small your budget may be.
Contact us today to set up an appointment so we may discuss your wishes! During your consultation, we will discuss each element that will go together to make your day perfect. After this meeting, we will send you a detailed outline so you know exactly what arrangements will be made for your event. From this moment on, we will communicate via email, phone and in person. You will be assured that every last detail will be taken care of. We reccommend contacting us early to avoid disappointment if your date is already booked. We do, however, prefer that your dress, the attire of your attendants, and your location have been chosen prior to our initial consultation.
"Rustic Elegance motivated Bride DJ until her initials inspired a Musical Rock-Star wedding theme. Yet, a few minutes into a Wedding Party tour of her florist's shop, multi-sensorial confidence assured bride and skeptical friends that both sentiments could blend, kind of like a good-enough marriage. The bridge: flowers.Owner, Artisan, and Operator of Splints & Daisies Floral Design, Tara Keister, situates her shop in the convenient hip-corner of Lancaster's Urban Place along New Holland Ave, across the street from a diamond-in-the-rough loft hotel, Cork Factory Hotel. As one enters the building adjacent to the Cork, a similar renovated factory feel of brick-cozy-chic wraps around its visitors. Before the florist greets her customers, the setting begins to take care them. Then a subtle palette of golds, silvers, coppers and drizzles of red and green accessories like candles, homemade soaps, and skin balms lift spirits as if entering an enchanting holiday ballet. The main event, cases of fresh flowers and Tara - an understated beauty of a red-head persuasion - awaits you at the counter.Cork Factory Bride-to-be DJ naturally opted for floral arrangements through Tara's location savvy shop, but what happened last Saturday morning involved something greater than checking center-pieces off the to-do list and deciding upon hydrangeas over roses. DJ paced the store counter, describing a wish for free-standing records to situate as the core of table center-pieces. Tara listened to her DJ, more like a friend than business owner, and within minutes a brainstorm yielded vision not only regarding flowers but the buttery visual textures that will smoothly flavor the ambiance of DJ's beloved wedding. Soon, miscellaneous supplies from clear frames, to votives, to a shabby 70's rock-album danced around the countertop. The bride screeched with satisfaction, and the florist joined with applause. For Tara, her contribution to a wedding is more artist than skilled decorator, and her role is just as much trusted friend as it is reliable vendor. If I had a friend like Bride DJ, I'd hope for her florist to be a talented Tara."
