Splints & Daisies has been an earth-friendly and sustainable business since day one. We pride ourselves in only using the freshest flowers, locally grown when in season. We avoid chemicals, and compost our scraps.
Our designs are fresh, modern, rustic, sometimes a bit crazy, earthy, beautiful, funky.................. you get the point. Our work has been "recognized by Hollywood", in that we were invited to teach a group of actors.
~ and dog house arrangements. (As in: to get you out of the dog house)
With quality personal service from beginning to end..... We offer free consultations, provide you with a custom quote, and will make sure your wedding, event, party or get-together runs smoothly. Our goal is to provide you with a breathtaking floral display, no matter how large or small your budget may be. We do not set a minimum for weddings/events, as each event is unique in size. Even the smallest backyard wedding can be beautiful with just the right floral touch!
Contact us today to set up an appointment so we may discuss your wishes. During your consultation, we will discuss each element that will go together to make your day perfect. After this meeting, we will send you an outline so you know what arrangements will be made for your event. From this moment on, we will communicate via email, phone and in person. We reccommend contacting us early to avoid disappointment if your date is already booked. Yes, you must have your wedding/event date set in order to have a consultation.
Don't live nearby? Unable to make it in for a consultation? No problem. We understand. We work with many out of town clients and there are ways around this! While we'd love to see your beautiful smiling face, we can always start with an email questionnaire form, or a phone consultation. Don't hesitate to ask!
Whenever possible, we strive to use only local "ingredients".Flowers and foliage from local farms or our own harvest are not only beautiful, but healthier for you AND the earth! Our favorite way to design is by leaving the flower choices open, and just discussing colors and textures along with style. This insures we can choose whatever is nicest in season at the time of your event.
A little about the owner: (that's her in the water!)
Tara is a long time flower and plant lover. She was a rambunctious toddler, and decided she would get a head start in the horticulture industry by eating her mothers house plants. This mostly resulted in the poison control center being called repeatedly, but perhaps also instilled in her the love of all things "green and growing". Tara has had her hands in the dirt and been playing with flowers, creatures, and plants her whole life. In her young 20's, she attended and graduated from Barnes Foundation Horticulture school, where she studied the obvious.
"I LOVE natural style, foraged finds, local blooms, vintage containers.
I do not care much for stuffy, tightly rounded fake looking flowers, dyed blooms (ewe!), flowers drenched in pesticides, new containers from China, and plastic floral picks."
Tara has had no formal floral training.
(She actually thinks this would ruin her)
